Jockey Samantha Polo remains on road to recovery

GRAFTON jockey Samantha Polo remains on the road to recovery after she attempted to get two days of work in recently.

Trainer Scott Henley said the apprentice was in a lot of pain as she attempted to come back to work after her shocking fall at Armidale last year.

"She came back to work for two days but she was in agony," he said. "Racing NSW have sent her back to the specialists again and they found a key three pressing against her spinal cord.

"My fingers are crossed, I hope she makes it back and I hope she is back to the heights that she was before the fall.

"She just needs to take it in small steps and it will eventually happen for her."
