Santa stops by the Big River Ski Lodge
THERE were lots of excited kids at the Big River Ski Lodge on Saturday night, waiting for Santa to arrive by boat with the help of the SES.
With one boat for his boat-pulling kangaroos, and another for himself, Santa pulled up at the ski lodge to hand out lollies to all the kids.
Manager of the Big River Ski Lodge Alison Fels said they were excited to have Santa visit.
"It's really good for the kids, it's nice for him to come out on the water to say hello and promote water safety at the same time," she said.
The Christmas season was kicking off at the lodge already with people beginning their Christmas holiday.
"We're starting to get busy, we're getting a lot of the tourists coming in as well as some of the locals," she said.
"It was nice to see some of the people who weren't staying at the lodge coming to see Santa.
"It was really good of them to pick Big River to come to."
Ms Fels said she loves the Christmas season.
"I love the look on the kids faces when they wake up on Christmas morning, I just think it's a beautiful time of year to spend with family and friend and to have a safe time," she said.
The SES helped Santa visit kids at Corcoran Park, The Crown Hotel and the South Grafton Wharf.
