Storms cuts Santa visits short as SES 'elves' called to help
SANTA's planned trip down the river on Saturday night had to wait after his helpers elves were needed to go to work.
He began his journey with a good crowd at the Big River Ski Lodge, but with a huge lightning storm bringing down trees, roofs and blocking drains late Saturday night, the good elves of the Grafton SES were tasked with hundreds of calls for assistance.
But Santa always delivers, and he's planning to make the trip down the river this Tuesday night, bringing Christmas cheer, and of course a whole bunch of lollies for the kids.
He will start at Corcoran Park at 7.30pm, before arriving at the Crown Hotel at 8.15 and finishing at South Grafton wharf at 8.30pm.
