BALLINA Seagulls enjoyed a vast improvement to their points differential following Saturday night's 100-10 win over Lower Clarence Magpies.

The Seagulls scored 17 tries in the Northern Rivers Regional Rugby League encounter, with the Magpies scoring both tries from kicks.

Meanwhile Northern United are crying 'controversy" after going down to Murwillumbah Mustangs by two points. The Dirrawongs claim the Mustangs missed a penalty goal, but the home side was awarded the two points by the referees.

It is believed the club may take their case to the NRRRL. Watch the video and judge for yourself here.

Grafton Ghosts and South Grafton Rebels enjoyed the week off thanks to a break in the Group 2 competition.

Their representative players had no luck however, with Group 3 scoring a 44-20 win over Group 2 in their annual match.

Pick up Monday's The Daily Examiner for a full wrap of the weekend's action.
