Search is on to find $1 million Gold Lotto winner

IT is two years since a shopper bought a Gold Lotto ticket and won $1 million - but has still not collected the cash!

Since the winning ticket was unregistered, Golden Casket has no way of identifying or contacting the mystery person who so far remains unaware of their millionaire status.

The ticket was purchased at Morayfield, in the Caboolture region just north of Brisbane, in 2015.

If you purchased a Gold Lotto ticket two years ago from Nextra Morayfield Village, Shop 5, Morayfield Shopping Centre, 171 Morayfield Road, Morayfield, you could be Queensland's mystery winner.

The winning numbers in the Saturday Gold Lotto draw 3539 on Saturday June 20, 2015 were 44, 27, 22, 10, 8 and 39. The supplementary numbers were 25 and 20.

Golden Casket spokesman Matt Hart said he had not given up hope the unsuspecting winner would stumble across their winning ticket and make contact.

"We've had past winners come forward after finding an old ticket in the back of a drawer, in the central console of their car, and at the bottom of their handbag," Mr Hart said.

"Do you have any old tickets lying around? Could one of them be the winning entry? With a $1 million prize up for grabs, it's worth checking."

Golden Casket said it was important to register tickets to a Winners Circle Card so people could be contacted directly in the event of a big win.
