Barron announces second show following record ticket sales

A SECOND Carl Barron show has been announced for the Saraton Theatre after the first show smashed the venue's ticket sale record time, selling out in 90 minutes.

Tickets for the show go on-sale Thursday morning at 8:30am

Manager of the theatre Michelle Gilbert said they hadn't even put up the official page announcing the initial show (for Saturday, August 8) on the website and the tickets started to disappear.

"Some tech-savvy person noticed we had put the session time in and found the ticket link that way and then started spreading the news on Facebook."

A buying frenzy ensued with almost all of the 900 seats snapped up.

Keen fans who were lined up at the theatre before it opened at 8.30 on Wednesday morning were only able to secure the few remaining single seats.

The second show is set for Sunday, August 9 but Ms Gilbert said she already had a waiting list as "long as my leg."
