Second sour contract blow for Bundaberg Sugar

BUNDABERG Sugar has suffered its second contract blow this year with soft drink giant Coca-Cola the latest to cut back on its volume of sugar purchased, resulting in a reduction of the Bundaberg Refinery's operations.

The refinery has confirmed it has been left with little choice but to reduce its operations from seven days to five days a week.

The part-loss of contract came about eight months after Bundaberg Sugar lost its contract with Woolworths for its Home Brand line of specialty sugar products.
