Second round for dirt bike riders

THE South Grafton Ex-Services Motorcycle Club will be conducting Round 2 of the Club Motocross Championships tomorrow.

Gnudwoc Park Raceway will come alive with plenty of dirt action throughout the day, when riders of all ages take to the track competing for points in the championships.

This will be the last opportunity for riders on the North Coast to get track time before the Grafton round of the National North Coast Motocross Series to be held in May.

After a successful first round of the championships, the club is looking forward to another huge day, with a good turnout of riders and hopefully the weather conditions will be a little cooler for those attending.

Junior riders from the 4-U9 Years Demonstration class to the ever-popular Over-35 years will be taking part.

The biggest fields for the day will be the senior Lites class, along with the junior Lites and the 85cc 2St/150cc 4St 12-U16 years. A quad class has been running and the club is looking for a few more keen quad riders.

For those senior riders who would like to have a ride at their own pace, a senior social class will be run enabling seniors to experience the thrill of motocross riding without the pressure of competing. Junior riders will need a logbook and/or licence to compete. For further information on the social class and the junior coaching program, please contact Narelle Rankin on 6642 5977.

Sign on and scrutineering will start at 7am and finish at 8.15am. Practice will follow, with the first round of racing starting at approximately 10am. Admission to Gnudwoc Park at Lillypool Road, South Grafton, is free and there are plenty of great spectator viewing areas, with most of the track being visible from all points.

There will be canteen facilities available and the club welcomes all new members and spectators.
