Keys left in ignition results in two car thefts in Grafton

THE theft of two cars in Grafton has served as a harsh reminder for the community to keep their keys in a safe place.

Between 7pm on Sunday and 9.45am Monday, two cars were stolen from separate properties after the owners left their keys in the vehicles overnight.

The first was a 1996 purple Toyota Prado stolen from Eggins St.

The second was a 1999 blue Ford Courier stolen from Reserve St, Grafton, in the early hours of Monday morning.

Police have asked for anyone with information on the incidents or whereabouts of the cars to phone Grafton Police Station on 6642 0222.
