A SMALL sedan flipped onto its roof on the Pacific Hwy, South Grafton at around 1pm.

It is understood the car was heading north when it swerved first to the left, then over-corrected twice before crossing the highway and heading down a grass embankment.

The car ended up on its roof facing the south.

The female driver and her 10-year-old passenger did not appear to be seriously injured but workers at the scene said the boy was still in shock some 20 minutes after the crash.

Nationals leader Warren Truss will be in Grafton tomorrow to promote the federal Coalition's new commitment to add $2b to the Pacific Hwy upgrade if it came to power.
