Truck fire closed highway at Iluka

Nearby residents say they are counting their blessings it was raining and the fire didn't spread into nearby bush.
9.00am: THIS just in from RMS: The Pacific Highway is now open under stop/slow traffic conditions at Woombah on the state's north coast following a truck fire near Iluka Road.
Motorists are advised to allow additional travel time and exercise caution through the area.
Emergency services remain at the accident site.

8.50am: EMERGENCY services are attempting to open one lane of the Pacific Hwy to allow traffic to flow south bound.
We've had unconfirmed reports the truck was a milk truck.
8.30am: THERE are no reported injuries at this stage but the road may still be closed for some time as emergency services clean up the debris.
Iluka Rd is open north-bound but not south-bound and the highway remains closed.
On The Daily Examiner Facebook page, Jess Wylie Yupp said it happened right outside her house.
"I fell out of the shower with the explosion literally shook us around," she said.
We have a photographer heading to the scene.
8.15am: THERE are early reports of a truck fire on the Pacific Highway at Iluka.
Details are scarce at the minute as emergency services are still rushing to the scene but it is understood the highway will be closed for some time.
A diversion will be put in place from vehicles travelling north at Ashby.
Southbound traffic will be stopped at Woodburn.
