SES brings Santa and his sleigh

The good word is that Santa wants to do a quick trip down the Clarence River this Saturday, and the Grafton SES are only too happy to help him out.

In a specially decorated sleigh boat, Santa will make his way down the river on Saturday afternoon, starting at the Big River Ski Lodge at 5pm, then travel to Corcoran Park at 7, the Crown Hotel at 8.15pm and South Club wharf at 8.30pm.

Organiser Wally Bridle of Grafton SES said the annual event is even more popular this year than normal

"We got onto social media, and we've got that many followings it's great," he said.

"It's an annual thing we do, and people love it - the kids chase us up the river.

"It's a great way to say to the community here we are and do something for the kids."
