Seven baby sharks found dead on Farnborough

WHEN Malcolm Wells woke up for his morning beach walk, he didn't expect to find seven dead sharks washed up on Farnborough Beach.

The Yeppoon retiree was talking a stroll on the Pacific Heights end of the beach when he noticed something in the sand.

"They were only very small sharks, and they looked like babies," Malcolm said.

"I've only ever seen one (dead shark) before and that was a couple of years ago, I think it is the wild weather we have been getting... I would certainly like to know what happened to them.

"Mainly I went down there to make sure there was no stranded turtles."

Malcolm also discovered washed up jellyfish and a crab.
