Seven Wallabies players ruled out for Scotland clash

RUGBY: Australia's preparations for tomorrow's Test against Scotland have been struck another blow with seven players now ruled out.

Centre Matt Toomua is the latest to bow out after suffering a hamstring strain in training - he is flying back to Australia.

It means the Wallabies will potentially field four new starters in a significantly patched-up backline from the one that beat Ireland 32-15 in Dublin last week.

The centre partnership of Toomua and Tevita Kuridrani is gone after Kuridrani was banned for five-weeks by the IRB for a dangerous tip tackle on Irish forward Peter O'Mahony.

The starting wingers from that match, Adam Ashley-Cooper and Nick Cummins, are also suspended for their boozy night out before the Irish Test.

NSW winger Peter Betham joined the squad this week and is likely to come straight into the Kangaroos line-up.
