Shark Creek crash closes Pacific Hwy in both directions

4.30PM: The Pacific Hwy is now open to motorists in both directions.

3.30PM: THE Pacific Hwy is now open to southbound motorists after a car and truck accident north of Grafton.

But the highway remains closed to northbound motorists at Shark Creek, with emergency services still on site.

Northbound motorists are advised to use Summerland Way and the Bruxner Hwy instead.

1.00PM: THE Westpac Rescue Helicopter has been tasked to the scene of the accident between a truck and a car.

Reports are the driver of the car is still trapped inside the vehicle and emergency services are trying to cut her out of the vehicle.

Motorists are advised to use Summerland Way and Bruxner Highway between Grafton and Lismore, via Casino, as an alternative route.

12.30PM: THE Pacific Hwy is closed in both directions at Shark Creek after a two vehicle crash.

Emergency services have rushed to the scene and it is understood the driver of one of the vehicles is trapped.

Motorists are urged to use the Summerland Way as a diversion.
