Shooting trio on the mark

A GRAFTON Rifle Club RCTS event was held on Saturday. with a field of 31 shooters lining up from the 30 mark.

The conditions were fine and sunny with no wind.

Top off rifle was Nick Abrahall 96 (with 9), second was Greg Mills-Thoms 95 (with 6), and third was Andrew Geary with 93 (with 3).

Four possibles were shot on the day with Nick Abrahall shooting two and Greg Mills-Thom and Michael Cook shooting one possible each.

An interesting fact is that the winner of each grade used an Anschutz rifle.

It was good to see our C-grade winner get his first possible in the rimfire discipline. Congratulations Mick, keep up the good work.

Next week is 100 yards Field Class followed by .22 F Class.

The range is on Trenayr Road opposite Koppers Logs. Turn off at the Blue Goose and turn right just past the Red Lane turn off. New shooters are welcome. The range is open from 8.15am on Saturdays for set up with shooting commencing at 9am.

Sign on times 8.30-9am.
