Showgirl fun a second time round

AFTER reading an article in Friday's Daily Examiner on the first nomination in the 2009 Grafton Showgirl competition, Natasha Shannon also decided to nominate.

Natasha has entered the competition previously and had so much fun the first time, she decided to enter again.

“I was really surprised to read in the Examiner that there was only one entry,” Natasha said

“I agree with what Rebekah said, the more entries there are, the better the whole experience is. There were eight of us last time I did it and I had a ball.”

Natasha loved the experience of entering the competition because she made new friends and met many people within the Grafton community.

Natasha is a country girl at heart who loves to play around with horses.

“I love the land and have lived on properties my whole life,” she said. “I am a country girl through and through and in my spare time, I love to ride horses and walk my three-year-old border collie.”

Natasha was born in Grafton, but moved away from the area when she was young.

“I came back when I was 15 and have loved the last seven years that I have spent in Grafton,” Natasha said.

“It's a great little town with so many great people.”

Natasha keeps herself busy, as she is currently employed by the Coffee Club in Grafton Shoppingworld.

“I work on the floor at the moment as a waitress and I love it,” she said.

“You meet so many great people and there is never a dull moment. It is go, go, go all the time. I had my first go in the kitchen the other day and that was fun as well.”
