Contractors encouraged to sign up to database

LOCAL contractors looking to get work on the construction of the new Clarence Valley Council depot in Grafton are being encouraged to register on a database the council is compiling.

Mayor Richie Williamson, said the council was putting the database together so it could be distributed to potential tenderers to assist them in the development of their submissions for the new depot.

"We want local contractors to get as much as possible out of our infrastructure spending and this is one simple, practical way council can help," he said.

Cr Williamson said council would close registrations this Friday (April 29).

People wanting to register should visit www.clarence.nsw.gov.au/contractorEOI and fill in the required documentation.
