Singing for bootcamp

OUR home-grown Ryan Martin will today attempt to wow judges in Sydney as he heads into the third stage of X Factor auditions.

He will mount the Sydney Entertainment Centre stage in front of 4000 people including the show's four judges, Natalie Bassingthwaighte, Redfoo, Ronan Keating and Dannii Minogue.

"I'm not stressing at the moment, but I think once I get out on that stage in front of 4000 people it might be a bit daunting," Martin said.

Singing Lonely Boy by The Black Keys and Ain't No Sunshine by Bill Withers, Martin said he had his fingers and toes crossed he would make it through to bootcamp.

"I normally sing these songs so I feel pretty comfortable with them and think they showcase my voice," he said.

"Plus I will have my guitar up there with me so that makes me feel a bit more comfortable."

His wife Katie and two children Charlie, 4, and Indiara, 18 months, will join him in Sydney to watch the auditions.

"I think they are most excited about going on a plane to the city than the show, but I'm glad they can come with me," Martin said.

The X Factor is scheduled to go to air on free to air later this year.
