Solo Cup tosses up some encounters

LOCAL teams will have some testing opening fixtures when the Solo Cup competition kicks off this weekend.

Northern NSWs’ equivilant of the FA Cup, the league pits some of the best soccer teams around the state head-to-head.

Coffs United were to start their campaign at Maclean St but has been shifted to Polwarth Drive so the cricket season will not be affected.

Maclean meet Urunga at Urunga while Satell clash with Woolgoolga at Old Bar.

The match starts at 3pm.

At the Urunga Recreation Ground at Margo Street, Urunga FC plays Macleay Valley Rangers at 1pm and Maclean FC versus Club Taree Wildcats at 3pm.
