Speed limit changes

SPEED limit changes will be implemented on Eatonsville Road at Waterview Heights in the next week, weather permitting
Clarence MP, Chris Gulaptis said Roads and Maritime Services (RMS) has carried out a review as part of the NSW audit of speed zones.
"The review assessed a number of factors including road environment, traffic characteristics and crash data," Mr Gulaptis said.
"The existing 80km/h speed limit on Eatonsville Road will be extended by 320 metres to 100 metres west of Exchange Drive.
"The changes will provide a more consistent approach to speed zoning along the road and better reflect the road conditions.
"The changes will also provide road safety benefits to residents and road users," Mr Gulaptis said.
Warning signs will be in place to advise motorists of the changes and will remain for at least a week after the new speed limit signs have been installed.
Members of the community can sign up at the Safer Roads NSW website to receive updates about changes to permanent speed limits in their nominated area and have their say on speed limits.
