Speedway action revving up with monster truck action
IT'S FAMILY fun and frivolity at Trevan Ford Grafton Speedway this Saturday night with monster truck action among the highlights.
The event is promoter David Lander's family entertainment thrill show with spectacular monster truck wheel-standing displays and car-crunching exhibitions, a roll-over truck that specialises in exactly that - getting upside down.
There's also the fabulous Jet Quad machine that is a show within a show.
Meanwhile, if fire restrictions are lifted prior to Saturday night, Lander is planning a fireworks display which he confidently predicted will be the "biggest ever" witnessed at the Grafton venue.
"I hope we can put on our fireworks sky show but at the moment that is out of our hands and is subject to weather conditions following this week's heatwave throughout NSW and the ensuing fire restrictions that were put in place," he said.
On the speedway racing side of the program, the main attraction will be the AMCA Sedans battling for supremacy in the Andrew Walker Memorial, named in honour of one of the sports' former great drivers.
The event will bring together the best AMCA sedan competitors on the Australian east coast and is certain to be keenly contested.
A series of qualifying heats will determine the starters in the main event.
The Wingless Sprintcars are also featured on the program, along with Four Cylinder Sedans, Street Stocks, Junior Sedans and Ltd Sedans.
