Super clinic is open

GRAFTON'S long-awaited GP Super Clinic opens for business today to the delight of locals.

On Saturday, the clinic held an open day to enable Clarence Valley residents to see for themselves what all the fuss had been about.

The open day involved guided tours for the public and an opportunity to ask questions.

Ochre Health, the company running the clinic, said the clinic would be staffed by three doctors at first.

Dr Paul Fowler and Dr Andrew Terrey from the Southside Doctors Surgery have decided to relocate to the super clinic, and Dr Katherine Grahame is moving to Grafton.

A spokesman for Ochre Health said there would be five GPs at the Super Clinic by March, rising to eight by August.

Initial trading hours for the clinic will be 8.30am to 6pm, Monday to Friday.

Bulk billing will be up to individual doctors.
