CHANGES to the plan for the proposed IGA Supermarket at Maclean will mean changes in the temporary car parking arrangements for the site.

Clarence Valley Council has received a combined planning proposal and development application for the supermarket which will move it closer to the Maclean Swimming Pool and the bowling club.

The change means council must rezone land near the bowling club and construct car parking at the corner of Morven, Argyle and Clyde streets.

Tuesday's council environment, planning and community committee meeting recommended council send the planning proposal to the State Government Gateway process.

It will assess the DA separately.

Council staff said the rezoning of the land near the bowling club will rectify a zoning anomaly.
