Suspected arson attack on three trucks

POLICE are investigating a suspected arson attack on three trucks at Bossley Park, in Sydney's south-west, early this morning.

About 1:10am, officers from Fire and Rescue NSW were called to Sweethaven Rd following reports of two trucks on fire.

At the scene they found an Iveco Prime Mover and a Nissan UD truck on fire. Both vehicles were extinguished by fire-fighters with the prime mover being completely destroyed in the blaze.

A short time later, fire-fighters responded to reports of another truck on fire in Sartor Cres, Bossley Park. At the scene they found a Nissan UD truck on fire.

Police were contacted and attended both incidents with initial investigations suggesting all three fires were deliberately lit and possibly linked.

Officers from Fairfield Local Area Command are continuing investigations into the fires and urge anyone who saw or heard any suspicious activity in Sweethaven Rd and Sartor Cres this morning to contact police.
