Swimmers preparing to make a splash

NOT long now, water babies, until pools around the Clarence Valley have their covers pulled back and lane ropes put in place.

And with weather the way it has been, bring it on.

Ulmarra and Glenreagh pools will re-open while the council is still yet to decide their ultimate fate at a forthcoming meeting.

Strong community campaigns in both cases have highlighted how vital these facilities are.

Grafton, Maclean and Ulmarra pools will open on September 21 and Glenreagh on October 5.

Yamba swimmers are already taking full advantage of their pool, however, it will remain on off-season times (Mon-Fri 6am-1pm, Sat-Sun 10am-2pm) until September 21 when it will start the summer timetable.
