Crims pretending to be cops bash and rob teen

A 17-YEAR-OLD boy was bashed in Lismore by two men claiming to be police officers in the early hours of Sunday morning.

Richmond Local Area Command Inspector Doug Conners said the teenager was walking along Brewster St about 12.50am when he was approached by two men in black hoodies.The men claimed to be police officers.

The victim told the two men he didn't believe them.

Shortly after, the victim was punched in the head by one of the men and he fell to the ground, where he was assaulted by both men.

While he was on the ground, one of the men stole his wallet.

The first man is described as being about 20, of Aboriginal appearance, 180cm tall, wearing a cap and black hoodie.

The second man is also believed to be 20, of Caucasian appearance and 180cm tall.
