Tell mum thanks on Mother's Day
PREPARE to shower mum with gifts of love this Mother's Day.
Owner of Girly Gifts Joanne Longstaff said Mother's Day was a special event because it gives you the opportunity to acknowledge and say thankyou to your mum.
Ms Longstaff said no matter what age or stage of their life, mothers always put their children first.
“Mothers put themselves so far at the bottom of the pile... that sacrifice needs to be acknowledged,” she said.
She said the gift you give on Mother's Day should always be meaningful.
One way to show your mum how much you care is by giving something that will remind her “who she is, what she is about and what she loves (apart from her children)”.
“After an infinity of sleepless nights, loads of washing, cooked dinners, packed lunches, hours spent driving to and fro etc, etce, etc, 20 years later many women can't even remember what hobbies they used to enjoy,” Ms Longstaff said.
“Give your mum something that makes her reconnect with her, even if it's as simple as an hour to soak in the bath with something pleasant."
