Clarence Valley Telstra customers back in business

UPDATE, 2.10pm: Telstra's mobile service appears to be back in business in the Clarence Valley, with customers now able to make incoming and outgoing  calls.

Other Clarence Valley residents have reported extremely slow internet speeds.

EARLIER: HAVING trouble calling someone today?

It's not you, it's Telstra.

The phone network has been hit with a nation-wide outage, affecting thousand of customers across the board.

According to aussieoutages.com, complaints started rolling in for Telstra about 12.45pm AEDT, with the number of complaints already exceeding 4,600.

Telstra posted the following on their Twitter feed at 1.23pm:

"We are aware of an issue affecting mobile voice and data nationally. We're working to resolve the issue ASAP. Thank for your patience."
