Greens want alleged rape victim off Nauru

THE Australian Greens have called on the Federal Government to bring an alleged rape victim from Nauru to Australia for an abortion.

The young African refugee, known as S99, was having an epileptic seizure when she was allegedly raped nine weeks ago.

The woman has tried to kill herself and is reportedly suffering anxiety and PTSD.

Greens' immigration spokeswoman Senator Sarah Hanson-Young said the government must bring the woman to Australia for medical help.

"My heart breaks for this young woman," she said.
