Clarence Valley welcomes its newest citizens

CLARENCE Valley Mayor Richie Williamson was on hand to naturalise the seven newest Australian citizens to the Clarence Valley in a citizenship ceremony this morning.

The ceremony was a joyous occasion for those participating and their family members who were in attendance.

Cr Williamson said it was great to welcome these individuals to become a part of a fantastic country and local community.

"To see the smile on their face when you say 'congratulations, you are now an Australian citizen' is very special," he said.

"We welcome them with open arms to the nation and of course to the Clarence Valley."
