Three golf carts taken for joy ride

TWO stolen golf carts have been dumped at Pippi Beach and one is still outstanding after a break-in at the Yamba Golf Club.

Police said at least three offenders broke into the golf club's garage about 2am yesterday morning, and removed three carts before driving them around the golf course, which caused damage to some of the greens.

At least two of the vehicles were then driven down onto Pippi Beach via Dolphin Park.

Two of them were found dumped near Flat Rock yesterday morning, and police confirmed they were still chasing the whereabouts of a third vehicle.

Investigations into the incident are continuing and anyone with information has been asked to phone Yamba police on 6646 2000 or CrimeStoppers on 1800 333 000.
