Three killed in road fatalities

THREE people were killed during another horror weekend on NSW roads.

Two of the fatal crashes occurred on the state's Mid North Coast.

Late Friday, a 33-year-old man was killed when he failed to negotiate a bend at Woolgoolga, north of Coffs Harbour.

His 24-year-old passenger escaped injury and phoned police.

The next day a 77-year-old woman from the ACT died when her car collided with a truck near Nambucca Heads, south of Coffs Harbour about 3pm.

The 42-year-old truck driver was unharmed.

An hour later, a 33-year-old man from Tamworth was killed when his car collided with a truck on the New England Hwy.

The 40-year-old truck driver was taken to hospital with non-life threatening chest injuries.

Reports on all three accidents will be prepared for the Coroner.
