Tigers out to prove themselves

NORTH COAST AFL: As the pre season has come to an end and the season is upon us and the Grafton Village Green Hotel Tigers cannot wait to get on the road and take on Sawtell Saints at Richardson Park.

With it new looking side with its blend of experience and lots of new talent it should be an evenly fought contest.

The Tigers are looking to show all the other teams that this season is not going to be the same as last year where it was a battle to get a team on the park.

With what the Tigers outfit have put in on the training paddock this pre-season, their opponents will be quite surprised at what the Tigers have to offer this year.

The Junior Tigers start their season this Sunday at Ellem Oval with u/11 taking on Northern Beaches, u/13 & u/15 taking on Coffs Harbour Breakers. Everyone come down and support the Tigers of the future with games starting from 9.30am.

In a week’s time there will be a feast of local AFL action at Ellem Oval with two games played.

This is a new concept brought in this year with the North Coast league playing the team from the Summerland League.

Grafton Tigers will host former Grafton player Tim Whalen as they do battle with Lismore Swans while Port Macquarie Magpies meet the Tweed Coast Tigers in other action at Ellem.
