Toddler rushed to Brisbane hospital after assault

A TODDLER who was assaulted is now being treated in the Royal Children's Hospital Brisbane.

"A two-year-old child was taken to hospital," Tweed-Byron LAC Inspector Bobbie Cullen said.

"It is under investigation."

The Pottsville toddler's condition is unknown but it is believed the child was assaulted sometime last night.

Insp Cullen said she was unable to release more details but said the child was presented to police with injuries.
