UPDATE: Toowoomba police report this morning that they have located the 12-year-old girl reported missing from her home earlier this week.

The girl, missing since Monday, was located early Wednesday evening safe and well.

Toowoomba police would like to thank the public for their assistance in locating her.

EARLIER: Police are appealing for public assistance to locate a girl missing from Toowoomba since Monday afternoon.

The 12-year-old was last seen at Grand Central shopping centre about 3.50pm Monday.

Police hold concerns for her welfare as her behaviour is out of character.

She is described as Caucasian in appearance, about 150cm tall of a slim build an light brown hair.

She was last seen wearing a blue and white t-shirt, a blue skirt, green sneakers and she was carrying a pink backpack.

Anyone who may have seen the girl is being urged to contact police immediately.
