Tour a tasty treat for all senses

BUSES went north and south with excited foodies ready to sample the wares of our region's finest on the Causley Fresh Gate to Plate food trails.

While those who headed to the Lower River enjoyed a trip to Espresso Botero, Palmers Island Mulloway, Causley Fresh Deli and finished up with a seafood lunch at Wato's, I headed south to the Northern Beaches.

Who knew the extent of the sprawling blueberry farms at Corindi and Woolgoolga?

We saw some pickers in action and even got to pick some of our own sweet and fresh raspberries and blueberries. Then in the amazing hillside farms we saw the busy honey bees at work.

Foodies enjoyed a stunning morning tea at Corindi Beach with coffee courtesy of Espresso Botero and even the brand new Big River Dairy milk.

We were whisked off to Woopi for some delicious curry, an insightful chat and a demonstration on how to tie a turban by John Arkan.
