Triathletes battle it out in rain

LAST Sunday saw a group of 25 triathletes participate in the Clarence Valley Triathlon Club local training race.

The weather was not ideal, the wind was blowing and there was plenty of rain about, luckily it cleared just in time for competitors to have a dry ride.

Junior athletes were out in force with 18 of them and only seven adults.

The training race finished with Jack, Max and Lachlan being the front-runners, while Tess was a standout, completing the full junior course and putting on the pace for a fast and enthusiastic finish.

Aaron and Damon also showed great enthusiasm and both performed well in the run leg. The club will meet again on March 20 at the Yamba Community Pool, Angourie Road.

Registration will close at 7.20am with the first group starting at 7.30am (all kids start at 8am).

All fitness levels welcome.
