One resident said that the latest death of a young local man - 24-year-old Justin Cullen died suddenly in the Maldives recently on a holiday with friends - has left the Tweed community in shock.
"We wake up Sunday morning and heard that another local boy has been taken away from us.
"So young so so sad.
"I see the pain that our local kids (are in).
"They have to say goodbye to another good mate.
"My thoughts and prayers (are) with the Ambrose family and two all the other (families) and (friends) that (are) grieving (for) the loved ones they have lost."
Friends and family are in mourning over the sudden loss.
"May your beautiful soul Rest In Peace Sean Ambrose," a friend wrote on social media.
Tweed Byron LAC Inspector Mick Dempsey said police were still calling for witnesses to the single vehicle crash.
He said a toxicology report will be put together as part of a police brief to be given to the Coroner, who may call for more investigation into the crash.
Police urge anyone with information in relation to these incidents to call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
