Troye Sivan confirms duet with Ariana Grande

TROYE Sivan has confirmed on Twitter and radio that he has recorded a new single with Ariana Grande.

The 22-year-old Australian My My My! singer-songwriter spilled the beans on Twitter, posting: "Yes!!! The rumours are trumours!!" Sivan tweeted. "@arianagrande is my pop queen and I can't wait for you guys to hear our song".

Sivan also linked to an interview on BBC Radio 1 with Nick Grimshaw where he told listeners how excited he was about his mystery collaboration.

"First of all I just love the song but second of all I just love the person so, so much. I was so gagged when I got it and we made it happen.

"When I got the vocal back it sounded exactly like I thought it would and I was so happy."

At first, Sivan was coy about announcing who his collaborator was but eventually told the radio host that he felt like telling him even though it was "not a planned announcement."

"It's Ariana Grande. ... I'm so excited."

Sivan described his relationship with Grande as "actually like kind of friends. We met for the first time about two years ago. We just kept in touch.

"My favourite thing is not telling people who it is, and then starting to play the song and as soon as she starts to sing, everyone's like 'are you serious?' Her voice is nuts."
