Pacific Highway flowing again after truck crash at Wardell

UPDATE: THE Pacific Highway has reopened in both directions at Wardell and diversions have been lifted after a tuck accident closed the road last night.

However, the Transport Management Centre advises motorists to remain cautious around the site as a lane closure may be necessary later in the day to replace a power pole.

8am: THE Pacific Hwy remains closed in both directions at Wardell, on the NSW North Coast, after a truck accident overnight near Boundary Creek Rd.

Motorists are advised to use The Summerland Way and the Bruxner Hwy via Casino and Lismore as an alternative route.

This alternative route is suitable for all vehicles, however motorists should allow plenty of extra travel time.

A complex salvage operation is taking place with a utility company, traffic crews and emergency services all on site working to clear the accident.
