Truck driver injured in crash

A TRUCK driver lost control of his B-double on Monday night, causing his truck to roll off the Pacific Highway at Wells Creek.

The accident occurred at 11.45pm, three kilometres south of the Eight Mile Lane turn off, but highway commuters could still see the overturned vehicle yesterday morning.

Paramedics took the 57-year-old driver to Grafton Base Hospital, where yesterday he was in a stable condition. He fractured his left shoulder blade in the accident.

Police said no other vehicles were involved in the crash and they would issue the driver with a ticket for negligent driving.
