Trump rushed off stage by secret service during rally

US presidential candidate Donald Trump has been bundled off stage during a rally in Reno, Nevada, today.

Secret service agents rushed him off the stage but he appeared back on stage five minutes later, reports the Associated Press.

"I want to thank the secret service, they don't get enough credit. They are amazing people," he said.

There is no official word yet on what the threat was but a CNN reporter said there have been reports of a man with a gun or that someone said they saw a man with a gun.

A man is allegedly being held by law enforcement at the scene.
