Trump's British visit to go ahead

THE British Government has officially rejected a petition calling for US President Donald Trump's state visit to the UK to be cancelled. Nearly two million people signed the petition on Parliament's website. In a written response from the Foreign Office, the government said it did not agree with the request and would extend "the full courtesy of a state visit” to the US President. However, because of the number of signatures, the petition will be debated by MPs. Prime Minister Theresa May (left) invited Mr Trump when the two leaders met last month. - INM
