Cricket club thanks for support

THROUGH the Daily Examiner, the Tucabia-Copmanhurst Cricket Club would like to acknowledge its sponsors and supporters of the past season.

Through this support, the club remains in a very sound financial position, enabling it to fulfil its obligations to pay its dues on time and have the ability to still be able to put back into the club by ways like buying shade gazebos for all of its junior teams, free shirts to all of its junior players as well as senior players and so on.

The Good Intent Hotel remains the Tucabia-Copmanhurst Cricket Clubs major sponsor.

Up-front sponsorship, raffles and other fringe benefits are the foundations of the clubs financial position.

To Rod and Sharon, staff and patrons of the GI, thank you.

All of our junior teams are sponsored, keeping our fees incredibly low and affordable-surely one of the cheapest kids sport available; $50 for under-10s, $60 for under-12s, 14s and 16s, $90 for two children or $110 for three or more children from the family, which includes a club shirt and all equipment.

Our junior sponsors for 2009/10 were Ulmarra Ampol and Post Office,

Big River Batteries & Auto Electricals, Grafton Hire, Ulmarra Newsagency (under-14 premiers), Country Road Nursery, John Williams Optometrist and special mention to Steve at B&S Kitchens.

B&S Kitchens has sponsored not one, but two teams since junior sponsorship commenced at the club, contributing heavily to the clubs coffers over this period.

As an added benefit to all our juniors, this season saw Steve give once again, by way of extra coaching clinics with Manish Verma, the Indian player brought to the area by Jason Thompson.

I’m sure all the players are grateful to you Steve for the extra and varied coaching techniques afforded to them, for your generosity.

Many thanks must also go to our night cricket sponsor.

Thanks to Jim Bindon from Big River Timbers for allowing us to purchase coloured playing shirts.

A hefty thanks must go once again to the Zone 3 Ski Racing for again allowing our club to cater for the crowd at the Bridge to Bridge Ski Race week-end.

This extra income to our club, directly promotes our strong position and it is a pleasure to work in conjunction with the Zone 3 Ski Racing organisation.

The Tucabia-Copmanhurst Cricket Club also has a number of supporters who contribute as trophy donors each year.

With too many to name individually, all of your support, some way above what is expected, is appreciated very much and adds a great deal to the fabric of the club.

Once again to all of the Tucabia-Copmanhurst Cricket Club sponsors and supporters, thank you very much.
