Tuckies take over Grafton for weekend of fun

THE Weekend of Trucking was a hit amongst local and interstate truck drivers who gathered on Prince Street early Saturday morning to show off their big rigs before heading to Jabour Park in South Grafton for a day of family fun.

Organiser Don Wall said he was really pleased with the success of the day.

"We were very impressed with the parade that went on this morning and a lot of trucks are here," he said.

"Along Prince Street it was lined up both sides and in the middle... I'd say there would have been... a couple of thousand people up and down the street."

Mr Wall highlighted how important the trucking industry was to the economy in Grafton.

"Everything is delivered by trucks apart from babies," he joked.
