UPDATE: Two taken to hospital after highway crash

UPDATE: TWO people have been taken to hospital after a two-vehicle collision on the Pacific Highway this afternoon.

Emergency services were called to the scene north of Ulmarra at around 2pm.

Coffs Clarence Police District Sergeant Nick Wiles said one woman was trapped in her vehicle for a short time but was able to free herself. Both people sustained minor injuries.

The crash happened just metres away from another two-car collision in which nine people were injured on New Year's Day.

 

EARLIER: EMERGENCY services have made their way to a collision on the Pacific Highway, near Cowell's Lane, Ulmarra.

According to Live Traffic NSW, a person is trapped in the two-car incident. 

Motorists are advised to exercise caution around the area.
