Two hurt as car hits tree

THE driver and passenger were injured when this car hit a tree on Iluka Road yesterday.

The Westpac Life Saver Rescue Helicopter was sent to airlift the passenger to Lismore Base Hospital.

The passenger suffered a serious leg injury and possible pelvic injury.

The driver of the vehicle was not seriously injured.

Police are investigating the cause of the accident.
