IT IS now just two weeks until our outstanding local athletes are recognised at the 2015 Clarence Valley Sports Awards on November 13.
From Australian Schoolboys Rugby Union player Cody Walker to Men's 55 to 59 years world top 10 triathlete Brian Elvery (both featured on this page), athletes of all ages and walks of life across a wide variety of sports will be in line for major awards.
Voting started this week for the Grafton Shoppingworld People's Choice Award. Vote on this page or visit Clarence Valley Sports Awards on Facebook to vote.
The nominees comprise the 20 junior and senior Jetts Fitness Sportsperson of the Month winners from throughout the year. The winners of the Junior Male, Junior Female and Senior Sportsperson of the Year as well as the Masters Sports Award will come from the same pool of athletes.
Other categories include Team of the Year, Club of the Year, Coach of the Year, the Ernie Muller Award for Contribution to Sport in the Lower Clarence and the Max Godbee Award for Contribution to Sport in the Clarence Valley.
Tickets are on sale at host venue Maclean Services Club, Kane's Sport & Leisure Maclean and Yamba, and Sportspower Grafton.

Carly Leeson (Brushgrove) - NSW Country Female Cricketer of Year Australian U18 Girls Cricket Honour team. Australian U18 & U20 Indoor Cricket representative.
Lindsey Wall (Yamba) - Won Hell of the West, Tweed Coast Enduro and Coffs Tri; 3rd Huskisson Long Course Triathlon.
Joel Skinner (Yamba) - Australian Longboard Open U18 Boys title, Australian Surf Festival Open Longboard semi-finalist.
Tom Hancock (Maclean) - Two gold, five silver medals in Mens 75-80yrs at Australian Masters Athletics Championships.
Stacey Brown (Yamba) - 7th in 13-14 girls 24-inch Cruiser class at Australian BMX Championships, 1st in 13 girls 20-inch and 2nd in 13-14 girls 24-inch Cruiser class at the NSW State Titles.
Matthew Lobsey (Grafton) - Players’ Player r/up for Australia in O35 Trans-Tasman Hockey Challenge, selected for 2016 O35 World Cup squad. Captain-coach of Grafton Premier League champions Royals.
Tahlia Marsh (Grafton) - Captain Australian Mighty 11s Trans-Tasman BMX team. 5th in 12yr Girls 20-inch and 24-inch Cruiser class at Australian BMX Championships, 1st in NSW 20-inch and 24-inch Cruiser.
Mitchum Davis (Brushgrove) - Trained his dog "Rango" to 1st in Maiden, 2nd in Novice at Australian Cattle Dog Trial Championships.

Nathalie Avery (Brooms Head) - Won gold medal in 12yr Girls 100m at NSW CHS and NSW All Schools Athletics titles.
Brian Elvery (Gulmarrad) - Mens 55-59 triathlete - 8th ITU World Triathlon Grand Final, 11th at 70.3 World Championships, 18th at Kona Ironman World Championships
