Urquhart close in squash final

DONNA URQUHART has continued her stunning squash form, narrowly beaten by top seed Annie Au at Hong Kong's Buler Challenge Cup tournament on Sunday.

Yamba's defending champion, Urquhart fell just short in a five-game thriller.

In a repeat of last year's decider Hong Kong's world number 11 Au gained revenge over

Urquhart with an 11-9, 7-11, 9-11, 11-8, 11-7 victory.

Urquhart, who has made the semi-finals and final of her last two tournaments, now heads to Chennai to play the Indian Challenger, where she takes on local Anaka Alankamony in the first round.

In the men's event Australia's Aaron Frankcomb ended the giant-killing run of Harinder Pal Sandhu to take the title.

The top-seeded Frankcomb took 65 minutes to see off the Indian in straight games 12-10, 11-6, 12-10 in a tense final.

It was the 26-year-old Tasmanian's third PSA tour title and his first since his China Open in Shanghai last November.
